The European Union Intellectual Property Office in cooperation with the Ideas Powered for Business SME Fund, have launched a new scheme this year to encourage Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) within the European Union to seek their Intellectual Property rights.
The scheme tries to elevate the cost of registration, by offering a 50% reimbursement from the official fees incurred during the registration of your trademark with the maximum reimbursement one can claim being 1500 EUR.
The scheme has fixed application windows one can apply, and priority is given on a first-come-first-served basis with a specific budget for the EUIPO for each window. Each company is only allowed one reimbursement claim for 2021.
